The Moroccan national team defeated its Comoros counterpart 2-0 in the opening match of the 35th African Cup of Nations, on Sunday.At Moulay Abdullah Stadium in Rabat, in the presence of the Crown Prince of Morocco, Morocco opened the scoring through Brahim Diaz, in the 55th minute, after a long pass inside the penalty area from Sofiane Amrabat, which Noussair Mazraoui controlled before he passed it to Diaz, who shot it directly into the net of the Comoros goalkeeper.Morocco doubled its lead in the 74th minute, when Anas Saleh Al-Din sent a wonderful pass to his colleague Ayoub Al-Kaabi, who played it with a double backhand into the net.Morocco topped Group A with three points, while Comoros remained without points.Mali will play against Zambia on Monday in the same group.
