Mr. Pep Guardiola,

I write to you not as a football follower, nor from a place of admiration for what you have given to the game—because that has long been beyond question, and you are among the greatest of all time—but rather as one human being addressing another.

I would like to apologize if, at any time, my words about you were confined only to the boundaries of football. The truth is that before being a brilliant coach, you are a man with a deep sense of humanity—someone who feels the pain of others, understands the value of justice, and possesses the courage to acknowledge it. Your humanitarian stances toward oppressed peoples and your sincere compassion for the suffering of innocent individuals are what move me to write these words today.

It was never my intention to place upon you burdens that are not yours, or to situate you in a context that does not suit you. You are not merely a sporting icon, but a human figure of influence and substance, and when you choose to speak, your positions reflect a living conscience and a profound respect for human dignity.

Therefore, I offer you my sincere apology if anything I said ever sounded like a demand, pressure, or projection. What I intended was gratitude, not obligation; appreciation, not direction; and recognition of your humanity, not holding you accountable for matters beyond your responsibilities.

May you always remain as you are: a human being above all else.

With sincere respect and appreciation,
Dr. Talal Osman
