AC Milan Open Their League Campaign with a Composed Win Over Venezia

AC Milan launched their Serie A campaign's second round with a deserved victory over host Venezia, winning 2-0 in a match that lacked the drama to thrill but revealed a Rossoneri side that knows how to manage an advantage once the moment presents itself  and a Venezia side still searching for its identity at the start of a difficult season awaiting it in Italian football's top flight.

The first half proved difficult to break open, with the match resembling a cautious tactical duel between a side that possesses the tools and knows their worth, and another trying to trade territorial presence for tight defensive organization. But this fragile balance did not hold for long: in the 69th minute, Gonçalo Ramos found the net to hand Milan an advantage they had earned by imposing their rhythm on the game, and the match then turned into a calm management of a result Venezia could no longer threaten.

Rossoneri were not content to stop there  fate added one final touch when Redouane Halhal put the ball into his own net in the 89th minute, doubling the margin and sealing a harsh ending to an evening in which luck never smiled on Venezia at any stage.

With this result, Milan continue their strong start to the season, sending an early message to their title rivals that the team has returned with a mindset of seriousness and discipline, while Venezia face a genuine test in addressing their vulnerabilities before the early rounds turn into a heavy burden that becomes difficult to overcome later on.
