Ivan Toney opened the scoring in the 18th minute, finishing from close range after a cross by Franck Kessié. Just two minutes later, Saleh Abu Al-Shamat doubled the lead with a fine header, also assisted by Kessié.
Riyad Mahrez came close with a free kick that struck the post in the 36th minute, before Enzo Millot made it 3–0 four minutes before halftime, capitalizing on defensive pressure and firing home from the edge of the box.
In the second half, a penalty initially awarded to Al-Ahli for a foul on Ziyad Al-Jahni was overturned after a VAR review. Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy produced a fine save to deny a one-on-one chance in the 63rd minute.
Ivan Toney thought he had scored a fourth goal shortly after, but it was ruled out for offside.
After the match, Al-Kholood player Hattan Bahebri revealed that his team formed a guard of honor for Al-Ahli in recognition of their continental success. He also stated that he will decide his future with the club after the final round, amid interest from other teams.
