Al Ahli soars with big Jeddah Derby points after 3-1 win over Al Ittihad.

Al Ahli claimed the spoils in the big Jeddah Derby, with Ivan Toney, the in-form Riyad Mahrez, and Feras Al-Breikan scoring in a 3-1 victory over hosts Al Ittihad, reclaiming the top spot in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Ahli, who have now swept both Jeddah derbies this season, boosted their tally to 62 points, leading rivals Al Nassr by one point ahead of the latter's Saturday clash with Neom; Al Ittihad slipped to sixth on 42 points.

Key Moments

Moussa Diaby unleashed a powerful free-kick in the 20th minute, brilliantly tipped away by Al Ahli keeper Edouard Mendy.

Toney gave the hosts the lead midway through the first half, latching onto Gallo’s left-wing cross and slotting home effortlessly.

Al Ittihad leveled immediately after halftime from a penalty won by Bergwijn after Zakaria Hawsawi's foul, converted coolly by Fabinho.

Mahrez restored Al Ahli's advantage around the hour mark with a low drive into the far corner.

Substitute Al-Breikan sealed the points six minutes from time, capitalizing on Raiko Ristic's error controlling the ball outside his box.
