The Brazilian National Team suffered a 3-2 defeat to Japan in their second and final October FIFA Date engagement. The duel took place at the Tokyo Stadium, in the Japanese capital, and was attended by 44,920 fans.
In the 14 games played between the teams, Brazil has 11 wins, two draws and one defeat. There were 37 goals scored and eight conceded.
The match started very balanced and, despite the greater possession of the ball by the Brazilian team, Carlo Ancelotti's team had difficulty finding the right spaces.
Brazil's first arrival happened in the ninth minute of the game. Beraldo hit the ball first, and the Japanese defense took it wrong. Martinelli anticipated the opportunity, invaded the area and crossed dangerously, scaring goalkeeper Zion Suzuki.
Near the 20th minute, Japan had good chances to find the way to the goal, but was prevented by the Brazilian defense. Ueda almost opened the scoring after a pass from the number 10, Minamino, but deflected it wide.
