Arsenal face a new challenge in the race for the Premier League title this season - with some challenging fixtures coming up compared to their rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.

Arsenal are the side that everyone is trying to catch in the Premier League, with Mikel Arteta's team getting off to an ideal start in the top-flight. The Gunners have 26 points from their opening 11 matches, building a four-point gap over second-place Manchester City.

With years gone by proving that the north London club can't rest too easily with Pep Guardiola's men right behind them, it's up to the team to keep finding results. After Arsenal's late draw against Sunderland, there have been two weeks to reset and go again after the international break, with some big fixtures coming up.

In recent weeks, several lower-ranked teams have come close to challenging Arsenal, but Liverpool and Manchester City remain the only clubs realistically capable of contesting the top spot. Mikel Arteta has guided his side to second-place finishes in each of the last three seasons, and many expect that this campaign could be a fourth-time lucky scenario. While their rivals are currently underperforming, the question remains which team can maintain a sustained challenge to the Gunners over the remainder of the season.

Arsenal’s consistency and depth provide them with a clear advantage, but the Premier League is notoriously unpredictable. Any slip-up could allow a rival to gain ground, and the Gunners will need to remain focused to maintain their lead. Despite this, the current form of their main competitors gives them an edge in the race for the title.

Arsenal has benefitted from a challenging start to the season for two of their main Premier League rivals. Liverpool has struggled to find form, while Manchester City has been inconsistent, leaving the Gunners in a strong position to capitalise. This scenario has contributed to confidence among Arsenal supporters that their team could finish the season as champions.

After widening the points gap, Arsenal currently stands as heavy favorites to win the Premier League title this season, with a 76.65% chance according to recent statistical projections. Their strong start, under Mikel Arteta, has seen them secure 29 points from 12 games, putting them six points clear of their closest pursuer, Chelsea.

However, Manchester City remains the likeliest contender behind them, with a 14% chance of winning. Despite some early-season inconsistency and losses, Pep Guardiola’s side is expected to mount a significant challenge in the latter part of the campaign, especially with Erling Haaland leading their attack.

Chelsea also holds a credible second-place position and will face Arsenal soon at Stamford Bridge, which could impact the title race.

Other teams such as Brighton, Newcastle, and Bournemouth are eyeing qualification for European competitions but have much work to do to challenge Arsenal meaningfully for the title.

Overall, while Arsenal has a clear advantage at this point, challenges from City and Chelsea, plus the unpredictable nature of a Premier League season, mean the title race will remain competitive until the end.
