Barcelona restore winning form with a big 3–1 victory over Real Betis on Sunday, in Matchday 37 of Spain’s La Liga.
Brazilian star Raphinha opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 28th minute, before adding a second goal in the 62nd minute. Isco pulled one back for Betis from the penalty spot in the 69th minute, but João Cancelo sealed the win with Barcelona’s third goal in the 74th minute.
The match also featured an emotional farewell for veteran Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, who played his final game for Barcelona at Camp Nou, after announcing his departure from the Catalan club at the end of the season.
Manager Hansi Flick substituted Lewandowski in the 83rd minute, prompting an emotional exit as he left the pitch in tears, amid a warm ovation from the stands packed with fans holding his pictures and chanting his name.
The three points took Barcelona back to the top of the table with 94 points, after a surprise 1–0 loss to Deportivo Alavés the previous week. Real Betis remained on 57 points in fifth place, having already secured a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
