Juventus regained their footing by winning 2–0 against Genoa in Matchday 31 of Italy’s Serie A on Monday.

Match and goals

Gleison Bremer opened the scoring in the 4th minute, before Weston McKennie added a second goal in the 17th minute, sealing a comfortable home win for the Bianconeri. This result helped Juventus bounce back after their draw with Sassuolo in the previous matchday, before the international break.

League impact

Juventus moved to 57 points and closed the gap to just one point behind Como, who sit fourth in the standings, reigniting their hopes of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League. Como themselves slipped up earlier on Monday, drawing 0–0 against Udinese in the same matchday.

Genoa suffered their second defeat in a row, leaving them on 33 points in 14th place in the table.
