Inter Miami defeated Toronto FC 4–2 away on Saturday. Rodrigo De Paul, Luis Suárez, Sergio Reguilón, and Messi all found the net in the victory.
Messi also provided two assists, helping Inter Miami reach 22 points from six wins and four draws.
Inter Miami bounced back from their 4–3 home loss to Orlando City last week, where they had squandered a 3–0 lead.
Thanks to his outstanding attacking performance, Messi added another milestone to his illustrious career, becoming the fastest player in MLS history to reach 100 goal contributions.
He achieved this in just 64 matches, breaking the previous record held by Toronto FC legend Sebastian Giovinco, who needed 95 matches to reach the same mark.
Messi has now recorded 59 goals and 41 assists since joining Inter Miami in late 2023.
Inter Miami currently sit third in the Eastern Conference, level on points with second-placed New England but behind on goal difference, and two points behind leaders Nashville. Meanwhile, Toronto FC remain ninth with 14 points.
