Bologna defeated host Napoli 3–2 on Monday evening in Serie A round 36. Bologna climbed to 52 points in eighth place, while Napoli remained second on 70 points, 15 behind champions Inter Milan.

Federico Bernardeschi opened the scoring in the 9th minute, and Riccardo Orsolini doubled Bologna’s lead from the penalty spot in the 34th. Napoli pulled one back through Giovanni Di Lorenzo in first-half stoppage time, and also equalized early in the second half through Alyson Santos. But Jonathan Rowe struck Bologna’s winner in the first minute of stoppage time in the second half to seal a valuable three points.
