Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the Qatari president of Paris Saint-Germain, believes that Spanish coach Luis Enrique “has revolutionized football” after guiding the French capital club to the UEFA Champions League final for the second year in a row.
PSG got past their toughest test in the competition this season by beating Bayern Munich 6–5 on aggregate in the semi-finals, setting up a final against Arsenal on 30 May in Budapest.
Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo, Al-Khelaifi said Enrique is the best coach in the world and called him one of the best decisions he has ever made at the club. He also praised the squad’s spirit, saying the players are not just good footballers but “true warriors.”mar
Al-Khelaifi added that PSG’s success comes from planning for the future and assembling top talent, and he said the team now feels like a family.
Enrique, for his part, said PSG showed two different sides against Bayern: they attacked well in the first leg and then defended as a collective in the second, proving they can suffer and still survive at the highest level.
