Porto crowned the first title of the local season after winning the Portuguese Super Cup on Saturday evening.Porto claimed the title with a 1-0 victory over Torreense in a match held in Coimbra.Danish player Victor Froholdt scored the only goal of the match with a header in the 38th minute, capitalizing on a cross from his teammate Pepe.With this win, Porto raised their tally to 25 titles, taking the lead as the most successful club in the Portuguese Super Cup, far ahead of their closest rivals. Benfica has 10 titles (the last one in 2025), while Sporting Lisbon has 9 titles (the last one in 2021).Under the leadership of their Italian coach Francesco Farioli, Porto also celebrated being the most decorated club in Portugal across all competitions, increasing their total to 88 titles compared to 87 titles for their rivals Benfica.
