Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, Liverpool forward, said he wants to be remembered positively by both players and fans after his departure from the club at the end of the current season.

After nine years at Liverpool since joining from Roma in the summer of 2017, the Egyptian star will leave Anfield at the end of this season, as he announced earlier last month.

Speaking about what he has left behind at the club and how he wants to be remembered after leaving, Salah said in an interview with SuperSport on YouTube:

“I want the players to always remember me as someone who was there for them.”

He added:

“I was always committed to the club, and I was the first to arrive and perhaps the last to leave. I always wanted to set an example for the players and help them whenever they needed me, because that means a lot to me.”

Salah continued:

“I gave this club everything, and that is what I want the fans to remember as well. I do not want them to say that I was a lazy player. They know that this club was my whole life, so I want them to remember that I gave it everything.”
