A goalless draw marked the clash between Al Ittihad and visiting Al Khaleej on Monday, in the 31st round of the Saudi Professional League.
Neither side managed to turn their chances into goals over 90 minutes, and the match ended 0–0, with both teams sharing the points.
Al Ittihad moved to 49 points in sixth place, three points behind Al Taawoun in fifth — one of the spots that qualifies a club for the play‑off stage to reach the Elite tier of the AFC Champions League.
Meanwhile, Al Khaleej reached 31 points in 14th place, ahead of their upcoming Saudi King’s Cup final against Al Hilal on Friday.
Elsewhere in the same round, Al Ettifaq and visiting Al Najma also played out a 0–0 draw.
Al Ettifaq climbed to 46 points in seventh, three points behind Al Ittihad, while Al Najma reached 12 points at the bottom of the table, after their relegation to the First Division had already been confirmed.
