The Brazilian national football team drew 2-2 with the Mexican national team in the match that took place on Sunday evening as part of the first round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup currently being held in Chile.

The first half ended 1-1, with the Mexican team taking the lead through Alexis Domínguez in the 10th minute, and Brazil leveling the score with a goal by Rafael Coutinho in the 21st minute.

In the second half, Brazil scored a second goal through Luighi in the 76th minute, but Mexico equalized in the 86th minute through Diego Ochoa.

With this result, each team earned its first point in the tournament. The 24 participating teams are distributed over 6 groups, with 4 teams in each group. The group winners and runners-up qualify directly to the knockout stages, along with the best four third-placed teams from the six groups.
