The End of an Endless Era
The Magic of the Last Moments Between Messi and Ronaldo
When the world falls silent… and legends speak
A reading of an incomparable legacy
By Dr. Talal OthmanThe World Cup has ended, the stadiums have quieted, but the noise has not subsided… the noise of shallow content that lives off superficial comparisons and feeds on a rivalry that no longer exists except in the imagination of those who do not understand the value of the time we lived through. The tournament is over… but the legend has not ended.
The favored team, the best team, the team that delivered enough to deserve the title, won.
Argentina lost the title… but Messi lost nothing.
This player, who has reached the age of thirty-nine, wrote in his final World Cup a timeless symphony  a symphony that will remain in the memory of everyone who loves football, even those who do not support Argentina nor adore samba as I do.Messi… the player who does not lose even when he loses
The Argentine national team  former World Champions, Copa América champions, and victors in every difficult moment they faced.
As for Messi, he delivered in this World Cup enough for it to be said that he can still make the difference, that he can still turn a match into a single plan: his individual brilliance.
He is not just a number, not just a goal, not just an assist…
He is an artistic state, a human state, a footballing state that will never be repeated.
Ronaldo… the leader whom time is not allowed to touch
On the other side stood Ronaldo.
He showed up as leaders do  as those who know that history is not written with wishes, but with hard work.
He gave everything he could, as he always does, as he did in England, Spain, and Italy…
And as he does today in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the people loved him and he loved them, becoming one of the pioneers of a massive football project that is changing the shape of the game in the region.
Ronaldo is still creating, still fighting, still refusing to become just a memory.
But some of his former teammates and some haters do not want him to continue…
And here lies the difference:
There are players who would die on the pitch for Messi, and there are those who try to extinguish Ronaldo’s light.
Enough with the comparisons… the era of comparison is over
The time for comparing Messi and Ronaldo has ended.
Not because one is better than the other, but because both have approached a thousand career goals, and both have given what no one else will easily give.
The era of Haaland and Mbappé is different.
Mbappé may break every record and write new chapters in history, but the period of Messi and Ronaldo’s rivalry was something else entirely…
It was between Barcelona and Real Madrid, between two schools, two philosophies, two worlds.
It was a rivalry that created an entire generation of lovers, created content, created passion, and created football that will not be repeated.A message to the creators of shallow content
Stop the comparisons.
Stop manufacturing hatred.
Stop turning football into an empty battle.
Enjoy the last moments of an era that is approaching its end…
The era of Messi and Ronaldo.
The era of two legends that history may never bring the likes of again.
