Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres both scored twice as Arsenal restored their five-point advantage at the top of the Premier League by thrashing Tottenham Hotspur 4-1.
Having seen Manchester City move within two points after Saturday's 2-1 win over Newcastle United, the Gunners responded by dealing Igor Tudor a crushing defeat in his first game in charge of Spurs.
Eze – who scored a hat-trick in November's reverse fixture at Emirates Stadium – opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, only for Declan Rice’s error to gift Randal Kolo Muani a swift equaliser.
But Arsenal eased clear in a one-sided second half, with Gyokeres striking twice either side of another Eze effort.
The Gunners have played one more game than City but have breathing room at the summit for now, while Spurs stay 16th, only four points clear of the relegation zone.
How the match unfolded
Spurs had plenty of defending to do early on, with Radu Dragusin heading Leandro Trossard's effort off the line and Gyokeres almost finding the bottom-right corner.
Arsenal's pressure told when Bukayo Saka scampered down the right to centre for Eze, who finished acrobatically after his first touch bobbled the ball into the air.
However, Spurs were level two minutes later. Rice attempted to beat Kolo Muani in a dangerous area, and after stealing possession, the Frenchman cut inside and drilled beyond goalkeeper David Raya.
Guglielmo Vicario denied Saka in a one-on-one to keep it level at half-time, but a thunderous strike from Gyokeres restored Arsenal's lead two minutes into the second period.
Kolo Muani was penalised for a push in Gabriel's back as Spurs had a goal disallowed, and Arsenal went 3-1 up when Eze stroked into an unguarded net in the 61st minute, having intercepted Dragusin's header to kickstart an incisive attack.
Raya clawed Richarlison's backheel off the line, but Arsenal made the scoreline more comprehensive when Gyokeres outmuscled Archie Gray and smashed home in stoppage time.
