Wendie Renard and Cady Dianny scored early goals, before Wol: Brand struck near the end to send Olympique Lyonnais into the final of the UEFA Women’s Champions League after a 3–1 triumph over holders Arsenal in the second-leg of the semi‑final. Lyon advanced 4–3 on aggregate in a thrilling tie.

Lyon’s path to the final

Renard converted a penalty after referee called back play to review a foul on Melchie Dumornay by Arsenal defender Louisa Wöbken‑Moy, although the first attempt was saved by keeper Daphné van Domselaar. Dianny added a second from a corner, putting Lyon 3–2 ahead on aggregate five minutes before half‑time.

England’s Alessia Russo drew Arsenal level on aggregate on 76 with a probing finish after a cross from Sjökvist Holmberg, but Brand’s 86th‑minute goal—taking a pass from Dumornay and firing with her left foot—sealed Lyon’s 12th Champions League final, where they will face the winner between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, after a 1–1 first leg in Spain.
