Al Ain have been crowned champions of the UAE Pro League (known for sponsorship reasons as the ADNOC Pro League) for the 15th time in their history, after their emphatic 5–0 victory over hosts Sharjah on Wednesday in matchday 24 of the competition.

Al Ain secured the title two rounds before the end of the season, without having to wait for the results of their rivals, after moving six points clear of their nearest pursuer, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, who narrowly beat guest team Al Nasr 2–1 in the same matchday.

Even if Al Ain were to lose their two remaining league games this season and Shabab Al Ahli were to win both, the two teams would finish level on points. In that case, the league regulations require a decision based first on head‑to‑head results, where the advantage would strongly favor Al Ain, having beaten Shabab Al Ahli in both of their encounters this campaign.
