Abdulaziz Al-Bishi scored in stoppage time to lead Al-Ittihad to a 2–1 victory over Damac in the Saudi Pro League on Sunday.
With this win, Al-Ittihad raised their tally to 52 points in sixth place, boosting their hopes of finishing fifth and qualifying for the Asian Elite Championship playoff. Meanwhile, Damac suffered their third consecutive defeat, remaining on 26 points in 15th place.
Houssem Aouar opened the scoring for Al-Ittihad with a strike from inside the penalty area in the 24th minute, but Georges-Kévin N’Koudou (Note: if intended player is Yaqub Mite, adjust accordingly) equalized for Damac in the 73rd minute.
Al-Ittihad pressed hard in search of a winner and got what they wanted in the fourth minute of stoppage time, when Al-Bishi finished off a well-organized attack with a close-range shot into the net.
