Barcelona’s women’s team reached the UEFA Women’s Champions League final for the sixth consecutive time after a thrilling 4–2 victory over visiting Bayern Munich on Sunday.

The Catalan side opened the scoring with an early goal by Salma Paralluelo in the 14th minute at Camp Nou, in front of a packed stadium. However, the Bavarian team equalised quickly through a strike by Linda Dallmann in the 18th minute.

Barcelona regained the lead when Alexia Putellas scored a second goal in the 23rd minute, and the first half ended with the hosts ahead.

In the second half, Eva Payer added a third goal for Barcelona in the 56th minute, and Putellas struck again in the 59th minute to complete her brace and give her side a 4–1 advantage.

Putellas was substituted in the 86th minute, with Kika Nazaré coming on, and the veteran playmaker left the pitch to a storm of applause from the stands.

Shortly before that emotional moment, Bayern Munich pulled one goal back when Pernille Harder scored in the 72nd minute. The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) later disallowed another Harder goal in the 90th minute for offside, meaning the match ended with a two‑goal win for Barcelona and a 5–3 aggregate victory over the two semifinal legs.

The teams had drawn 1–1 at the first leg in Munich, where Barcelona took the lead through an Eva Payer goal but the German side equalised with a strike by Franziska Kett, who was later sent off with a red card and therefore missed the return match.
