German sports magazine Kicker announced on Tuesday that Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has won the European Golden Shoe as the top scorer across Europe’s domestic leagues for last season.

Kane topped the rankings with 72 points, thanks to scoring 36 goals in the German Bundesliga, finishing ahead of Manchester City’s Norwegian striker Erling Haaland, who scored 27 Premier League goals to collect 54 points.

In third place came French forward Kylian Mbappé, now at Real Madrid, who scored 27 goals in La Liga, earning 50 points.

The England captain claimed this prestigious award for the second time, after winning it for the first time in 2024. Kane has also been the Bundesliga’s top scorer in all three of his seasons with Bayern Munich.

Players in Europe’s top five leagues — England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France — receive two points per goal due to the high level of competition. Players in leagues ranked 6th to 22nd receive 1.5 points per goal, while players in lower‑ranked leagues receive one point per goal.

The highest‑ranked player from outside Europe’s top five leagues was Dion Beljo of Dinamo Zagreb, who finished fourth with 46.5 points after scoring 31 goals.
