Pyramids FC won the Egypt Cup for the second time in their history after defeating ZED 2–1 in the final at Cairo International Stadium. Karim Hafez opened the scoring from a VAR-awarded penalty just before halftime, and Fiston Mayele doubled the lead in the 57th minute with a powerful finish from a Hafez cross.
Pyramids played the final minutes with ten men after Mostafa Ziko was sent off in the 81st minute for violent conduct. ZED managed to pull one goal back through substitute Raafat Khalil in stoppage time with a header assisted by Mostafa Saad.
Pyramids had previously won the Egypt Cup in the 2023–2024 season. The team is also competing for the Egyptian Premier League title, currently sitting second in the championship group with 51 points—two behind leaders Zamalek and one ahead of third‑placed Al Ahly with one match remaining.
Earlier this season, Pyramids were eliminated from the CAF Champions League quarterfinals by Morocco’s AS FAR.
