Moroccan Achraf Hakimi, Nigerian Victor Osimhen, and Egyptian Mohamed Salah have been shortlisted as the three finalists for the 2025 African Men's Player of the Year award by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).​

  • Achraf Hakimi captained Morocco and won the UEFA Champions League with Paris Saint-Germain for the first time in the club’s history, plus the French league and cup double, and European Super Cup.

  • Mohamed Salah played a vital role in Liverpool’s English Premier League title last season, scoring 29 goals and providing 18 assists to win both the Golden Boot and Playmaker awards, and is bidding for his third CAF Player of the Year title after previous wins in 2017 and 2018.

  • Victor Osimhen led Galatasaray to a league and cup double in Turkey, finishing as the league’s top scorer with 26 goals and having won the award previously in 2023.

The CAF 2025 awards ceremony will be held in Rabat, Morocco, and will also include other categories such as Best Coach and Best Goalkeeper.
