Senegal, the 2022 champion, booked the first ticket to the semi-finals of the thirty-fifth edition of the African Cup of Nations finals in football held in Morocco, by defeating Mali 1-0, on Friday, at the Grand Stadium in Tangier.Everton striker Elliman Ndiaye (27) scored the goal of the match, which Mali completed with ten players, after Yves Bissouma (45+3) was sent off for receiving a second warning.Senegal will also meet in the semi-finals next Wednesday in Tangier with the winner of the match between Egypt and Côte d'Ivoire, which will meet on Saturday at the Grand Stadium in Agadir.
