Slot, however, drew a distinction between team chemistry and mental strength, saying long-serving groups naturally know each other better, while this squad has still shown strong mentality in difficult moments this season.
Slot made the comments at a press conference on Friday ahead of Saturday’s match against Chelsea. He said Liverpool will need some changes because of departures, but stressed that the team has already proven it can cope with hard situations.
